Now, I’m offering a private oral history service, for anyone who wants some help preserving a story or a voice in their life. I will work with you to determine who you want to interview, what everyone is hoping to get out of the experience, and how to best approach the interviews. Most clients choose to keep these recordings private, for posterity. However, in some cases, you may also choose to hire me for editing (to distill interview highlights into an easy-to-listen-to short piece). And in even fewer cases, we can discuss how you would turn your personal story into a podcast, a memoir etc.

In 2019, I managed a team of StoryCorps Facilitators as we travelled across the country with an AirStream Trailer, recording and archiving an oral history of the US, and all the people who call it home. The oral history interviews were with regular people, talking about everything from their family genealogy, to the history of their city, to unforgettable acts of love and kindness they gave or received in their lives. Bearing witness to these stories and helping people say their piece was one of the most important experiences of my life.
Over the last few years I’ve continued to this kind of work on special occasions for friends and family. Over the last few years I’ve continued to this kind of work on special occasions for friends and family.
