Welcome to my home page! So happy you’re here!
Here are the basics. I’m an independent and contract senior audio producer with over 6 years of experience. As a contractor, I can do it all—show development, booking, interviewing (remotely or in the field), writing/scripting, iterating, coaching your host, editing, sound designing and distributing. I’m the producer you call to get the job done well, and when invited to, to take ownership.
My contract clients include Audible, Somethin’ Else/Sony, StoryCorps, LW&C, and LinkedIn. I’m an absolute professional with excellent experience and references, and I’m a generalist. I’m ready to be drawn to any project that’s got a seed of truth. Real truth. I don’t discriminate by subject, format or even fiction/nonfiction. So long as there is something real we can give to our audience, I’m ready to experiment. I love working with a team, but when resources are tight, I’m also happy to work alone.
As an independent artist, I work in memoir and explore the line between fiction and nonfiction. I’m a poet, a diarist, a family historian, an Iranian immigrant, a healer of generational trauma, and a storyteller. I believe that stories can shape culture. As such, I work on engaging (please, not read “important”) projects I believe will move our culture towards self-awareness, empathy, knowledge and collective power.
I’m a graduate of the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies, a former Union Docs Pod Pod Resident, and in the current cohort of the Woodward Residency. Other fun facts about me: I went to NYU for my bachelors, I used to work in human rights, I was first ushered into audio work through my unforgettable year as the Site Manager of the StoryCrops Mobile tour, and I now am offering private family oral history services (more on that on another page)!
I’ve broken my projects and services down into categories on this website. You’ll notice I have a great range of work. What my projects have in common—and why I choose them—is they all have a spirit of integrity, curiosity, or experimentation. And, of course, good teams… colleagues who become trusted collaborators, and who work together to bring the best possible version of projects to life.
